How YT50 works

Country-by-country YouTube Top 50 charts, where the data comes from, and how to navigate them.

What is YT50?

YT50 collects the YouTube “most popular” Top 50 chart for 32 countries and their main categories. It is an unofficial site built on the public YouTube Data API. The list is the same family of ranking as the Trending tab in the YouTube app, though not always identical.

How often do charts update?

Rankings are fetched live from the YouTube Data API and cached on the server for about 2 hours. Each chart page shows the time of its last update in Korea Standard Time (KST).

URL structure

Country charts use a two-letter ISO code: /us, /kr, /jp, /br. Category charts add a segment: /us/music, /jp/gaming, /kr/news. Available categories are music, gaming, movies, entertainment, sports and news. Every URL is stable, so you can bookmark or share it.

RSS and machine-readable access

Every country has an RSS feed at /feed/<country>, for example /feed/us. A plain-text overview for AI assistants and crawlers is available at /llms.txt.

Unofficial notice

YT50 is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google. Data comes from the YouTube Data API v3. No YouTube branding or logos are reproduced.

FAQ

How do I see what is trending on YouTube in my country?
Pick a country on the home page or open its URL directly, such as /us for the United States or /in for India. The page lists the current Top 50 with view counts.
Where are the music or gaming charts?
Use the category chips at the top of any country page, or add the category to the URL: /us/music, /jp/gaming, /kr/entertainment.
Why does the chart differ from the Trending tab in the YouTube app?
The app personalizes and curates its Trending tab. YT50 shows the raw “most popular” chart from the YouTube Data API, which every visitor sees identically.
